Split a list of people into random teams, by number of teams or by people per team, with balanced sizes and an optional seed.

How it works
How it works
Type the participants, one per line, and choose how to split them: by number of teams (for example, 3 teams) or by people per team (for example, teams of 4). The tool shuffles the list with a uniform algorithm and deals people out in turns, so team sizes never differ by more than one person.
That is why 10 people in teams of 3 do not give three teams of 3 and one of 1, but four teams of 3, 3, 2 and 2: nobody is left alone. You can rename the teams (“Group”, “Table”…) and copy them all, one per line.
With a seed
With a seed, the split is always the same for the same list: useful when others need to verify the draw was fair. Without a seed, each press of “Make teams” gives a new split.
